Life coaching, like coaching in sports, helps you identify and optimize your talents and strengths to put you at the top of your game - which, in this case, is living a life integrated with your values.

How coaching works

Finding the right coach. Audition Lynne!

Reasons to work with a life coach
You may benefit from life coaching with me if you identify yourself with any of the following:

  • You are an entrepreneur who needs some external support to stay on track to accomplish the goals you have set for your business and/or to help you keep the rest of your life together while you pursue your business dream.

  • You are highly motivated, a visionary, energetic (or exhausted) and have more great ideas than the focus and time to bring them about.

  • You are independently employed, work from home or work at home, and find that having a home office requires discipline to avoid the many distractions that lead to procrastination…which will slow your path to success.

  • You are in a management position where some objectivity and strategic thinking would be useful as you make decisions.

  • You feel "overwhelmed" by life in general or some specific areas of life — relationships, work, school, maintaining a home.

  • You are ready to make changes to bring your life into more satisfying balance.

  • You sense something is missing from your life…you want more!

  • You can't juggle everything…you want less!

  • You are too busy to figure out a plan for your time…and too busy not to! There's a great return on investment in being proactive about how your time is spent.

  • Procrastination is having a negative impact on your daily life and relationships. You have difficulty making decisions.

  • You have ADD or ADHD, which pose unique opportunities and challenges.

  • You are in a period of transition — recently graduated, change of employment, relocation, newly a parent or an "empty nester", etc. Whether the change is celebrated or grieved, it requires adjustment, and life coaching can be very effective in bringing you through periods of stress.

Kaleidoscope Coachingsm
I've coined the phrase Kaleidoscope Coachingsm because I believe that we each have all of the components for a fulfilling life, and we can rearrange them over and over again, until we see the picture that satisfies us most. And, from time to time, we may want to change the picture yet again.

Think about the metaphor of the kaleidoscope in terms of the colored bits of glass being the major areas of a well-balanced life: Work, Family, Self care (health, hobbies/fun/leisure), Knowledge, Home, Relationships, Spirituality, and Finances. You may not have all of these in equal measure at the moment. Some may appear to be missing altogether. But you can shift the focus of your life and change the picture, like one turn of the kaleidoscope, one decision at a time.

How coaching works
A commitment to coaching is made one month at a time and coaching takes place during regularly scheduled telephone calls, approximately 30 minutes in length, usually once a week. Occasionally additional calls are scheduled due to special circumstances. Sometimes email is exchanged between calls.
